Overview: Denial and love have a lot in common. Both are strong emotions that can with the greatest of ease change how one thinks, how one feels, how one sees themselves and the world. Like the tide they push and pull the sand and mold a person into any shape it wants.
Eathan is in denial. Eathan is in bad shape. Eathan has let himself be molded into whatever the world wanted from him – and he felt that the world was constantly loud and clear about what it wanted and how wrong it was that he didn’t fit into it.
Andrew believes Eathan is wrong for an entirely different reason. Andrew doesn’t believe in denial, but he does believe in love. He doesn’t see a problem with that.
